Founded on the belief that every small act of kindness sparks massive change, at Wisdome Welfare Foundation we began with a simple goal: to replace empty minds with open ones and provide a safety net for the underprivileged. For over 15 years, our Founder & Main Trustee Mrs. Shahida Shaikh has been at the forefront of grassroots social work across Mumbai and Maharashtra.
What started as small medical camps in Goregaon and school uniform drives for tribal children in Mumbai has today grown into a comprehensive movement for dignity, opportunity, and sustainable change. We started by listening — in small tribal villages where children walked miles to school without books, in urban slums where women lacked access to healthcare, and in communities battling floods, droughts, and unemployment — we saw not just problems, but potential.
Shahida Shaikh’s journey began with distributing books and organizing free tuition classes. Soon, it expanded to setting up health camps, supporting meritorious yet poor students with scholarships, and helping widows form self-help groups. Each intervention taught us one truth: temporary relief is not enough. Real change means self-reliance.

At Wisdome Welfare Foundation, we began with a simple mission — to replace empty minds with open ones, and dependency with dignity. Today, our work spans classrooms without walls, telehealth in remote villages, women-led enterprises, and solar-powered schools. From educating tribal children and skilling youth in green technologies, to climate adaptation, mental health, and inclusive healthcare — we are aligned with the nation’s vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
Real progress happens when civil society and government move as one. We are committed to supplementing public welfare schemes, strengthening last-mile delivery, and creating models that are scalable, transparent, and sustainable. Our focus on digital literacy, climate resilience, women empowerment, and economic independence directly supports national priorities.
